Help with a check
Let’s get you unstuck.
Find the right next step without losing track of the car you’re checking.
The search couldn’t connect
Check your connection and try once more. Keep the registration in the search box. If it continues, wait a few minutes; the vehicle service may be unavailable. Repeated rapid checks can reach a shared usage limit.
DVLA or DVSA is temporarily unavailable
The report can show a partial result from the source that responded. “Temporarily unavailable” is not “no record found”. Open Report sources & details for the source outcomes and times. Use Recheck at the bottom to start another check; successful recent source results may be reused for up to two minutes.
My report link has stopped working
Live report links expire seven days after creation. Reopening one does not extend this period. Start a new check for a new link. A saved device copy remains dated and does not need the original link to work.
Where are my saved cars?
Saved cars & comparison contains up to three copies saved in this browser. Use the same device, browser and site address. Copies do not sync between lemoned.co.uk and a preview address. Private browsing, clearing site data or reaching the 30-day retention period can remove them. Download copies you want to keep.
Some specifications say N/A
N/A means the value is not available. DVLA and DVSA do not include gearbox details in these records, while transmission and combined MPG can only be shown when the vehicle matches one of Lemoned’s limited catalogue references. N/A is not evidence of a problem or confirmation of any particular specification.
The record looks wrong
Compare the registration, VIN and V5C against the physical vehicle first. Do not send us a V5C photograph, identity document or payment details.
For MOT errors, use GOV.UK’s correction guidance. If the original record is correct but Lemoned presents it incorrectly, email hello@lemoned.co.uk with the field, check time and a description. Include a report link only if you want to share access.
Browser verification or a usage limit blocks me
Allow the browser verification to finish and follow its instructions. People using the same connection may share a limit; wait for the time shown before trying again. Do not keep submitting while the check is running.
How do I download or share?
At the bottom of a real report, open Export. Choose Download report for a branded standalone HTML file, or Print / PDF to use your browser’s Save as PDF option. Both include all returned MOT tests, not just the currently expanded years. Allow the print window if your browser blocks it, or print the downloaded HTML file instead. Share sends a live expiring link; its results may change when reopened. Checklist answers and notes are not included in either type of copy.
How do I check another registration?
Use the registration box at the top of the report, then press the arrow or Enter. Selecting a recent registration only fills the field. Use the main search for a VIN check.
Where is my checklist progress?
Open Lemoned Checklist at the bottom of the same car’s report, in the same browser and on the same site address. It keeps your answers and notes for 30 days after the last change. Clearing site data, using a different browser, or pressing Reset can remove or hide that copy. Progress is not carried in a shared link or report export. Any browser-storage problem is shown inside the checklist.
